Overview
Using a photo eye and barcode scanning system, the SEALED AIR® brand Automated Void Sensing System assesses each box as it moves through the line.
Integrated with conveyor systems and the FasFil® Jet paper dispenser, the flexible fill system calculates void space, determines the exact amount of paper needed to fill it, and communicates directly with the filling system to dispense the optimal amount of 100% recyclable cushioning.
Use of void fill sensor technology automates the process of calculating void fill volume which reduces material waste, increases throughput, and enhances product protection—all while minimizing manual labor.
